Ways to join St Michael's:

Transfer
If you are already baptized, confirmed, and are member of another Episcopal or Anglican parish and would like to transfer your membership, please call our church office and Polly or Roberta will take care of it for you.

Baptism
If you're not yet baptized, that is the way you enter Christ's one holy Catholic Church.  At the moment of baptism, we die with Christ and are raised to live in him, we are adopted by God the Father as his very own children, and become inheritors of his heavenly kingdom.

Baptism is the first thing Jesus calls us to do as his followers (Matthew 28:19-20); and it's what baptized parents do for their children on the strength of their own faith (Acts 16:25-34).  If you would like to be baptized, or would like to have your child baptized, please call the parish priest to find out what to do.

Confirmation
If you're baptized, but haven't been confirmed, i.e. you haven't knelt down and had the hands of a bishop on your head, we can take care of that too. Periodically we have confirmation/inquirers' classes in which we review the basics of the Christian faith in preparation for the apostolic rite of the laying on of hands. This sacrament has sometimes been called Ordination of the Laity because it's when laypeople (=those who don't wear funny white collars) are empowered by the Holy Spirit for the work he equips each person to do.
